It would normally just start the download there, but it can happen, that if you're logged in to a Steam account that doesn't have the game claimed, it prompts you to purchase instead. Similarly, there's a possibility that you have a second Ubisoft Account, on which you made the purchase of the game directly from the Ubisoft Store. If it's been purchased there, there's no redirection to Steam, as it's not necessary to have Steam in order to access it.We should be able to help even more find out what happened to the purchase and the account, via our Help website, as we can't investigate purchase/account issues on the forums, for privacy reasons.
