Oracle E-Business Suite R12 with Google Chrome Browser: Best Practices and Recommendations

Chrome works with Oracle 11.5.10.CU2 now I have just cloned a new environment to implement JRE as oracle is desupporting JInitiator 1.3 by end of July 31, 2009. I applied the Patch Applications 11i interoperability patch 6863618 for JRE Native plug-in see Metalink Doc Id 290807.1 and run successfully the postinstall steps.After restarting the application IE7 worked fine then decided to taste Chrome.The log on goes fine but while accessing the forms I was hit with ERRORForbiddenYou don't have permission to access /dev60cgi/oracle/apps/fnd/formsClient/FormsLauncher.class on this server.I first located the FormsLauncher.class and decided to change the permissions as belowapplprod@gvaora3:$COMMON_TOP/java/oracle/apps/fnd/formsClient applprod@gvaora3 $ chmod 755 FormsLauncher.classForms fired up correctly with Chrome so you guys can now enjoy chrome Geoffrey Shelton OkotSenior Apps DBA Temenos SAskype:temenosgshelton
